ConocoPhillips lets rig contract to Rowan

ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS has let a contract to Rowan Cos. for the Rowan Norway jack up rig. The contract, subject to partner approval, is expected to begin in this year’s second quarter with an estimated duration of 7 months.
ConocoPhillips has set a capital expenditure budget for 2019 of $6.1 billion, which is flat to its expected full-year 2018 capex, excluding acquisition costs. The 2019 budget does not reflect potential dispositions that may occur in 2019.
The ConocoPhillips-led group at Bayu-Undan gas-condensate field in the Timor Sea reported the completion of its three infill well program under budget and ahead of schedule. The third and final well was brought on line Dec. 3.
