The upstream oil and gas economy in Texas contracted in August for the 21st consecutive month, according to the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers’ Texas Petro Index (TPI).
Estimates by the US Energy Information Administration indicate the August count of drilled but uncompleted (DUC) wells in the seven major US shale oil- and gas-producing regions totaled 5,031, down slightly from the 5,065 counted in July.

Azure Midstream Partners LP, Dallas, has completed the sale of one of its East Texas gas plants and an associated gathering line to Align Midstream Partners LP, a portfolio company of Dallas-based private equity firm Tailwater Capital LLC.
